RD4U Cards

At the end of second year we had to pick a charity which we wanted to design something for. I decided to pick RD4U which is a branch of Cruse bereavement care specialising in the help and support of bereaved young people. This charity covers something which I think can often be overlooked. I decided to make a range of condolence cards for younger people some examples of which you can see above.

Upfest at Party in the Park, Melksham

I was lucky enough to be able to help out at at the above event. I really enjoyed watching the pieces get created over the course of the day and just soaking up the atmosphere of the surprisingly sunny Saturday. Here are a few photos from the day:

Graffiti in New Zealand

I was lucky enough to recently spend 5 weeks in New Zealand. I absolutely loved it from start to finish and would love to go back at some point to see more of the North Island which we only managed to touch on briefly. These pictures show some examples I found of graffiti which I found to be in some ways similar to that found in New York (particularly Wellington) and in other places much more realistic mural type work.

The St. Leger Brothers

I went to this exhibition in Bristol yesterday, two very talented brothers who have slightly different approaches to their work. The website for the Knifesmith Gallery is also well worth a look for work of various artists which is available to buy.

http://www.sam-davey.com/index.html

I went to a photography exhibition in Bristol a couple of weeks back and was really impressed by it. The exhibition was held at Centrespace and was called Playdays the person that most caught my eye was a photographer called Sam Davey. Really lovely photos, one of which I include here and also a link to his recently updated website which is well worth a look.

St Pauls Carnival

I went to St Pauls Carnival the other week for the first time, I thought it was fantastic especially all the amazing costumes. I took some pretty good photos and these two are my favourites.
